The Dream Lens

This is the lens I am saving up for: Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens. I spotted this lens when the initial thought of replacing my kit lens was mulling around in my brain. I have seen so many good reviews for this lens, I can’t help but get a little excited by it. I was debating on getting a faster lens with a better the f/4 rating, but decided to go with image quality instead of speed. I tend to take more set up shots with a tripod, so I don’t need a quick release (at least I don’t think I do). Once I get more into it, I might find need for faster glass. For now this is my next purchase, and will be the main lens I use in France next year. I also have my eye on a 50mm prime f/1.4 that is pretty cheap, but still mixed on if I would use it often. Probably for night photography.
